Now that my post-election euphoria has faded away a little, I’m starting to remember one of the most interesting campaign moves that happened in 2008. Barack Obama purchased advertising in several online video games such as Madden ‘09, Guitar Hero, and Burnout: Paradise. Only shown to players in the “battleground states” of the time, in-game billboards featured Obama’s campaign, just like what you’d see in real life.

It’s amazing how politics, technology and entertainment are able to intersect.
